when he rode into his yard the house was dark. everything looked normal except for that. he didnt call out but rode over to the little barn and started unsaddling his horse. before he was done, out of the darkness stepped irene. " ime glad your back. the air force capitan was here. i saw them comming and left the house and went into the desert. they went through the house and here at the barn. then left" she explained " they want me dead i think. a plane straffed the hill i used to watch for coyotes comming from the bombing range. it was just luck i stopped at a different place. it was no accident. and now i know they mean business. how long they been gone from here?"latigo asked. " a couple hours. i watched their dust as they left i think they kept going."irene replyed. " lets go have supper and make a plan. we cant stay here until we do something about them. they will be back." latigo was closeing the gate behind his horse. after a quick supper latigo took the sat phone out side and called miquel after a short request miguel agreed to send his helicopter early the next morning for irene. latigo didnt think louis knew about her. he had to get her away to saftey. as for louis , latigo had a plan if he could convince louis to do what was needed. latigo suddenly realized he was slipping back into his old personality from when he was in south east asia. but maybe this is what he needed right now. to his way of thinking he was dealing with worse people than the viet cong.he felt he wouldnt have a moments rest until he dealt with them. he checked the sat phone. it had just enough charge left for one more call. thats all he needed.
