as rick and the two riders approached they could see jake talking to the driver. he was waveing his arm back toward rick. when rick got closer he could see the driver was a woman. as he walked up jake pointed to him" thats him" "are you rick?" the young blonde woman asked. " he just told you i am. what can i do for you?" rick was already perterbed. the woman was dressed in designer jeans a simple cotton blouse and tennis shoes. he blond hair cascaded down over her shoulders. rick could hear horses stamping in the trailer. her truck had tezas plates. she handed him a envelope. " this will explain every thing" she said rick already a little hot opened the envelope and withdrew a letter hand written on shadrack stationary. as he read the letter he clenched his fist holding the letter crumpling it. "there was no mention of this when we negotiated the agreement." rich fumed. " theres no mention against it either. dad thought it best to have someone here to count cattle." the young woman was pretty if a little to business like. "your daddy sent four west texas cowboys here and they spent one night before going home. this isnt a barrel race at the downtown arena." rick was heating up.
