late that afternoon ellen and lizzy drove back into the yard. the annie stood up on the boulder and when she did the dogs stood up and the hackles on their back standing straight up. lizzy got out of the truck , pulled a bag from the back and started walkin to the house. she took a sharp look at the rock and the annie then kept on going to the house like what she saw was nothing special. ellen had gotten out and pulled a couple of bags from the truck and turnned to go to the house when the woman stranded on the rock yelled down" will you call these dogs off so i can get down?" ellen stoped a moment and looked at her with no concern . "madalyn, you got your self up there you get down. i dont know why your here but it probably isnt good."ellen went on in the house. as she stepped inside she found dan standing just inside the door." you know her?" he asked. ellen simply nodded and went on to her room. lizzy was seated at the table unwrapping a new deck of cards" i dont think she wants to elaborate dan."dan started to go out the door when elen came back and brushed past him. out side she went to the base of the rock and stood there with her hands on her hips."what arre you doing here madilyn? and dont lie to me." ellen said. madilyn stared down at ellen in shock" how do you know my name? i dont know you." 'IME GOING TO TAKE THE DOGS IN THE HOUSE. WHEN DAN COMES OUT IN A BIT TO DO HIS CHORES YOU BETTER BE GONE. GOT IT?" ELLEN TURNED AND WALKED BACK TO THE HOUSE CALLING THE DOGS. HER AND THE DOGS WENT IN THE HOUSE AND DAN SHUT THE DOOR BEHIND THEM. HE TURNED TO ELLEN" HOW DO YOU KNOW HER?" HE ASKED. " maybe some time ill tell you. but not now. shes trouble in the worst way. i could shoot her and not look back." ellen went in her room and shut the door. dan looked at lizzy who simply shrugged her shoulders. out side madilyn slid down off the boulder and struck a trott down the road to her car. "who was that woman?" was all she could say.
