the trade

yesterday I completed a horse trade. I don't do it very often, and ime really not very sucsessful at it. once in a great while ill pull off a good one. even a blind sow finds a acorn once in a while.  I traded a horse, a nice horse I wasn't using for a trailer I could use. the horse was eating his head off, the trailer don't eat, seemed logical.
what is it about the trade? people become addicted to the trade like to drugs. ive seen guys who never rode the same saddle two days in a row. would saddle a new horse every month! what is it? when in the feedlots we traded BRIDLES, BITS, ROPES,  TRAILERS, C.B. RADIOS ANYTHING!! what is it that runs the gauntlet of a persons emotions?  we traded days off for no reason, boots, hats, baseball caps! the list is unending.  why did we do it? I (and ime ashamed to admit it) traded the horse I gave my wife for a wedding gift! that horse went on to become a nfr heel horse. world champions rode him, he was used to win 3 or 4 places at numerous rodeos, but I traded him for a hand full of cash and another horse that wasn't as good. just had to do it!! what causes a feller to do it?  anybody got a young horse to trade for a weed eater?
